Training, Qualifications and Experience

I am a UKCP-registered Integrative Arts Psychotherapist, with an MA awarded by UKCP (the UK Council for Psychotherapy). I work for Mind, Islington and privately at the Brookfield Park Psychotherapy Practice in Highgate, NW5. The latter practice is situated in a private house where several therapists work.

My aim and way of seeing life is to approach each day as an opportunity to see and experience all that was, and is, anew!

I believe that no child is born sad, bad or angry, and that therapy works best in a reparative and reflective relationship. Since my teens I have been interested in what makes myself and others ‘tick’. This led me to seek ‘answers’ to the bigger questions of life such as, Who am I? Who is the other? and What’s life about?

I have been involved in psychotherapy since 1985. After gaining a Batchelor’s degree in the History of Art at UCL London in 2000, I went on to complete a five-year MA training at IATE (Institute for Arts and Therapy in Education) in Islington, London.

I continue to explore new ideas and developments in the therapy world, and regularly attend conferences to keep up with the new and exciting findings in this field of work.
